What is urban?

I have been commissioned to make a piece of work for the series of 'What is urban?' projects initiated by Punch and Vivid in Birmingham. I will be working on a series of animated sequences exploring the way people interact in the urban environment. This work will be shown in Birmingham in October/November. I will keep you updated with the progress as the project develops.

Day To Day Data

I have been selected to take part in a workshop in Nottingham in August, as part of a research and development period leading to an exhibition of work by artists looking at 'Day to Day Data'. The workshop days will be taking place at the Angel Row Gallery, and will consist of presentations by each of the artists and discussion around the ideas presented; it looks like it will be a great opportunity to meet a group of people who are obsessive as me!

Lucky World!

I am currently working on a new project called Lucky World. This is a web based project where I have picked up seven lucky coins over seven days, carried one of the coins in my pocket and kept a journal of my luck. I have passed the coins on to other people, who will keep journals and pass the coin on, and so on. My Lucky World will be part of the 'Relay' exhibition at Q-Gallery in Derby in August and September; I will post more information about this nearer the time.
