Commissions

It is very interesting working on commissions, because you have to consider the wishes, tastes and ideas of the people you are working for. This might sound quite restrictive, but it can actually work the other way, giving new boundaries and sometimes allowing you to engage with a new audience. One of my major commissions allowed me to present my work on a much larger and more public scale. With my images projected onto the Touchstones building in Rochdale and my posters sited around the town, my work was seen by many people who may not normally visit a gallery, and allowed for chance encounters by passing motorists.
